The M·A·C Artist represents the image, products and culture of the company to the Customer. Their primary responsibility is customer service and sales, achieved through exceptional communications skills and artistic abilities. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining the store environment and operations and assisting with administrative duties. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Employer-Paid Life Insurance Disability Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave 401(k) with company match Employee Discount Job Responsibilities Greet customer within 30 seconds upon their arrival- ask if they need assistance, if unable to assist customer at that time, ensure that someone will be there shortly Provide welcoming, personal, professional and consistent service to all Customers at all times Remains knowledgeable of the store’s merchandise and current promotions Suggest group of appropriate products and/or colors to meet and exceed customers’ needs Assist customers with product/services selection and information Assists with inventory and receiving of merchandise Replenishes backstock to maintain appropriate levels of merchandise on the floor Actively participate in M·A·C training sessions and partnered store mandatory training sessions Actively participate in cleaning displayer units, tools, and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for next day’s business Maintain tester units in proper schematic order Perform opening/closing duties, including securing cash registers and store security Communicates customer complaints and inventory concerns to management in a timely manner If identified as a keyholder, additional responsibilities will be assigned Other duties as assigned Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required Strong written and verbal English communication skills Demonstrated customer service experience Ability to multitask and resolve minor customer service conflicts Alcohol Beverage Awareness Cared (TAM Card) may be required Additional Security clearance may be required Satisfactory Criminal Background Check and Drug Testing May be required Additional Requirements Limited sitting Frequent standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, pushing, or pulling Normal or corrected vision and hearing Can distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns, or materials to assist customers Fluency in English is required for training, customer interactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Typically, indoors Typically, in a consistent temperature Use of fine motor hand functions Lift 0-60 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation About Us WHSmith is a leading global travel retailer with over 1,700 stores across 30 countries worldwide.
