Job Description

At  eTip , we don’t just build fintech products — we revolutionize how digital tipping and financial transactions happen in hospitality and beyond. We’re on a mission to continue to dominate our category with smart, secure, and scalable solutions — and we need a  Product Manager who’s obsessed with impact and ownership .

This isn’t a job for box-checkers or clock-watchers. This is  not a 9-to-5 job — it’s a role for someone who wants to build, scale, and  win in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

We’re looking for a  strategic thinker, ruthless executor, and relentless innovator — someone who understands that product is business and knows how to drive both.

🔥 What You’ll Do

  • Own the full product lifecycle — from discovery and strategy to launch and optimization.
  • Lead with a product-first mindset but always think commercially — you’re not just building features; you’re solving business problems.
  • Collaborate tightly with design, engineering, and data to ship quickly and iteratively.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor behavior, and customer insights to drive product vision.
  • Set and manage the roadmap — prioritize ruthlessly based on business value and impact.
  • Develop detailed product specs and user stories that are clear, concise, and aligned with strategy.
  • Lead user research and usability testing to validate ideas and improve UX.
  • Define and track product success metrics — own the outcomes, not just the output.
  • Champion quality and reliability — you're responsible for making sure what ships works.
  • Partner with sales, customer success, and marketing on go-to-market strategy, positioning, and enablement.
  • Identify and unblock technical or operational bottlenecks — no task is beneath you if it moves the product forward.
  • Influence leadership on product strategy and contribute to broader company planning.
  • Conduct and lead partnership integration meetings and spearhead multifunctional deliverables

🧠 What You Bring

  • 7+ years of product management experience , with at least 4+ years in a technical or platform-facing role in fintech, SaaS, payments, or other fast-paced tech environments.
  • A proven track record of owning and scaling products that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of financial technology — including payments, compliance, security, API integrations, and user trust.
  • Strong technical acumen — you can hold your own in architecture discussions, understand how APIs and data flows work, and speak fluently with engineers.
  • Experience working with complex systems — payments infrastructure, API platforms, backend services, or compliance engines.
  • Ability to break down technical concepts and translate them into clear, actionable product requirements for cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable using tools like SQL, Postman, API logs , and system diagnostics to validate hypotheses and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience integrating with third-party platforms, such as payment processors, KYC/AML providers, or banking APIs.
  • Deep understanding of security, scalability, latency, and data integrity — especially in the context of financial products.
  • Ability to turn ambiguity into action — you thrive when solving complex problems in unstructured environments.
  • Strong user empathy and a passion for delivering intuitive, elegant, high-impact customer experiences.
  • Proven experience leading technical discovery, backlog grooming, and sprint planning with engineering teams.
  • Skilled in defining and tracking product metrics , interpreting complex data, and making fast, confident, insight-driven decisions.
  • Clear, concise communicator — you influence across teams, align stakeholders, and write crisp product specs and technical docs.
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams — design, engineering, ops, compliance, sales — and getting them moving in sync.
  • A builder’s mindset — scrappy, resourceful, and willing to do whatever it takes to ship.
  • You bring startup DNA — high adaptability, low ego, fast execution, and a willingness to take big swings with high accountability.
  • A sharp product sense — you can connect business goals with technical capabilities and user needs.
  • Skilled at managing trade-offs between speed, scope, and quality — you know when to ship scrappy and when to build for scale.
  • A deep sense of ownership — you don’t just manage a roadmap, you deliver outcomes. “Good enough” is not in your vocabulary.
  • Strong documentation habits — you write great product specs, technical overviews, and release notes.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with rapid release cycles and continuous delivery.
  • High accountability — you're not afraid to own both the system architecture and the customer experience.
  • A bias for action — you move fast, learn fast, and adapt even faster.
  • Outwork and outperform the competition

🚧 This Role is Not For

  • Anyone who needs handholding.
  • People who wait to be told what to do.
  • Those who are afraid of taking ownership or making big calls.
  • Anyone expecting a predictable 9-to-5 —  this is a high-impact role in a high-performance team.

🎯 Why Join eTip?

  • Competitive base salary
  • Comprehensive health benefits – medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan – start building your financial future
  • FSA (Flexible Spending Account) – for healthcare and dependent care expenses
  • Work with top hospitality brands—we're partnered with industry leaders and expanding fast
  • Be part of a high-growth startup—this is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the future of fintech in hospitality
  • Fast-moving, innovative, and collaborative culture—we encourage new ideas and reward initiative
  • Massive market opportunity—what we've built (and continue to build) is serving millions of people, starting in the U.S. and expanding globally
  • You'll have autonomy and authority to move fast and make a real impact.
  • You’ll help shape the future of fintech and digital tipping at a pivotal time in the industry.

Massive market opportunity, serving millions of people, starting in the U.S. and expanding globally, and having fun doing it.

If you're ready to make an impact, outwork the competition, and help shape the future of fintech in the hospitality industry, we want to hear from you!
